Not that it was necessary at all, but the 2017 model has increased performance over the previous engine, with a broader spread and more torque. It is also a lot lighter and more compact. Making sense of all of that mighty power, the 2017 FE models boast an optimised new map-switch, which also activates Traction Control. Starting a bike in the most difficult positions is part of enduro riding and is why all FE and TE models come standard with an electric starter. For 2017 the bikes are fitted with a compact Li-Ion battery, 1 kg lighter than conventional batteries. The wiring harness is designed so that the rear sub-frame can be removed without removing any wiring. Class-leading BREMBO brakes control the 2017 line-up.
